My name is Nashara, I go by shara. I’m a single mom to 2 kids and a salon owner. I helped raise my baby brother Myke, he lived with me and helped raise my kids. He was my person. On November 30th 2021 I got a message from a random woman on Facebook asking if I was Mykes sister. I almost didn’t reply as I thought it was a scam and I had just spent my birthday (November 28th) with him so it was all over Facebook. I responded and was then asked for my number and told someone needed to talk to me. It was the hospital about 30 minutes from my house telling me that my brother had been stabbed and I needed to get there immediately. Once I arrived I was put in a room and after the longest 10 minutes of my life I was introduced to the coroner. He didn’t make it. My entire world stopped, he was my person, my biggest supporter and best friend. We were all each other had. I was escorted to the police department and promptly interviewed. It was at that moment that I was told his new girlfriend had been playing my brother and her baby daddy murdered him within seconds of meeting him. My brothers trial is beginning in may and I’m a wreck. I have gotten in therapy weekly, have poured myself into my business and honoring him any way I can but it’s still hard. I try my best to live in his image and speak of him often, he was such a bright light the world should know him still!
